President's Message

by BOHA Staff on 12/15/11

The Badge of Honor Association has been successful through our first 5 years due to the tremendous dedication of our volunteers and supporters. Moving forward B.O.H.A. plans to work closely with all Police Administrations & Police Unions throughout our Western New York Law Enforcement Community.   In order to continue to grow B.O.H.A. needs their members to join our volunteer team. Our long term goal is to assist these officers in developing regional B.O.H.A. offices within their departments.  From the beginning we have been committed to building a strong organization which is represented by all Police Departments in Western New York.  The Badge of Honor Association’s primary mission is to raise funds for the Fallen Officer Memorial Fund.  This fund is used to support the families of Officers Killed in the Line of Duty in WNY.  In addition B.O.H.A. seeks to raise morale in the W.N.Y. Law Enforcement Community and to give back to the communities in which we serve. We look forward to our expansion and the addition of new regional partners.

Locust Club supports B.O.H.A.

by BOHA Staff on 12/09/11

“The inception of BOHA started with the simple concept of honoring those who have fallen.  Their vision expanded to a fraternal organization that has brought area law enforcement officers together in various social settings.  BOHA has shown the community that police officers serve their community in more ways than one.  The Locust Club supports and encourages BOHA in their efforts to foster unity and brotherhood.”

Welcome to the new and improved Badge of Honor Association's website!

by BOHA Staff on 12/09/11

The new site is just the beginning for B.O.H.A. as we get ready to welcome in the New Year.  On January 20, 2012 we will be hosting the Policeman's Ball at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.  As always our team works hard to secure our guests with the best hotel accomodations, tux rental, and dress purchases.  We are pleased to announce that our guests will enjoy a fantastic room rate at the Hyatt Regency again this year.  Please call and inform them that you are attending the ball to receive this special rate.  Tuxedo Junction has also agreed to be the Official Tuxedo carrier for the 2012 ball.  Simply stop in to any Tuxedo Junction location and tell them you are attending the ball to reserve any style tux for the great rate of $85.00.

“ This impressive group of Officers has created the most cohesive volunteer law-enforcement organization that I can recall in my entire history.  Their dedication and selfless volunteerism sets the standard for what all communities should strive to achieve.  I am committed to supporting BOHA as they continue to enhance law enforcement’s volunteer and community engagement efforts in the Western New York region.” Chief James M. Sheppard, Rochester Police Department
