Western New York's Finest Award
The Badge of Honor Association (B.O.H.A.) was founded by Officers from the Rochester Police Department. These Officers understand what it’s like to work patrol and to constantly put your life on the line. They also knew that many heroic and inspirational acts are committed by Officers throughout Western New York on a daily basis and that too many go unrecognized. B.O.H.A. decided that as an organization we must step up where others may fall, and to recognize our fellow brother and sister officers. Simply put the Western New York’s finest Award was designed by cops for cops. Members of B.O.H.A. reach out to our members throughout Western New York prior to our events to learn about their fellow officers who may have earned the title of Western New York’s Finest. B.O.H.A. then researches the incident, contacts the involved Department(s) and Officer(s), and invites them and their family to attend our next event as our guest. At the event the award winners are presented with a W.N.Y.F. award in front of their fellow officers, family, and friends. To date B.O.H.A. has honored the following Law Enforcement Officers:
