Street Sign Dedication plaques

On August 23rd, 2007 The Badge of Honor Association with assistance from Rochester Police Department Chief David Moore, Executive Deputy Chief George Markert and then Commander Glen Hoff held the first ever Rochester Police officer sign dedication ceremony. The Ceremony was to honor all of the Rochester Police Department's fallen officers through out history.

Commemorative street sign type plaques were created and placed at the following locations where the officer's had passed away. Each plaque depicts the officers name, rank and badge number and the date they died.

The Official ceremony on August 23th 2007, was held at Irondequoit Bay. This location was chosen to honor, whom at that time was Rochester's last fallen Officer, Ron Siver. Officer. Siver drowned August 19th, 1984, while working as a member of the RPD Scuba team.
